Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 10, 2026

Last Updated: May 10, 2026

1. Introduction

Spirals of Kemush ("the App") is a reading application that presents the twelve origin myths of the Klamath Basin as written by H. L. Delaney. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, exactly what data the App handles and why.

Summary: The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no network requests except those you initiate yourself (such as tapping a link to view a book on Amazon).

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

There is no server-side component associated with the App.

3. On-Device Storage

Any state the App may keep (such as the panel you last viewed) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage and is never transmitted off-device. Uninstalling the App removes this state permanently.

4. Text-to-Speech (Read Aloud)

The App can read panel text aloud using your device's built-in system voices. This functionality is provided by Apple's operating system and runs entirely on-device. Audio is not recorded, transmitted, or stored. Apple's own privacy policies govern the underlying TTS engine.

5. Outbound Links

The App contains links to third-party websites — specifically, links to purchase the author's books on Amazon. When you tap one of these links, your device's browser opens the destination URL. The third party (Amazon, in this case) operates under its own privacy policy, which the App's publisher does not control.

The App does not load remote content in the background and does not send analytics about which links you tap.

6. Children's Privacy

The App contains literary content adapted from a published book and is rated for general audiences. Because the App collects no personal information of any kind, it does not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If the App's behavior ever changes such that it begins collecting data, this policy will be updated and the new effective date will appear above. Continued use of the App after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
